By far the best job I had was working for BAe Systems at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey. The home of the Harrier and the Hawk aircraft. I worked security at Dunsfold for 4 years after leaving the Navy until the place closed down in 2001. They now film BBC's "Top Gear" and various other films there.

I then worked in Southampton for Carnival UK (formally P&O Cruises) again as security at a great building called Richmond House, I was there for 10 years really happy in my work but then they had to go and move to an all new 'Carnival House' which was rubbish and even worse they had a security supervisor there who was a total tool.
My mate Trevor did one night shift there and quit he hated it so much, I lasted a year before falling out of favour with, well everybody apparently. |

They say one door shuts and another opens, it was a total blessing I was forced out of Carnival UK, thank you very much to all involved especially Simon Gittens.
Anyway after getting the boot I found another job 3 days later working at Blake Lapthorn solicitors, oh bliss, better pay, better hours and much nicer people. |
